A Sweet and Livable Teen Girl’s Room

This room refresh came together with a simple goal in mind: create a space that feels pretty, comfortable, and easy to live in. Teen rooms should feel personal without being over designed, and they need to work for everyday life. This space strikes a balance between soft and practical with details that feel special but still relaxed.
The starting point for the room was the cherry wallpaper from Livettes Wallpaper. I wanted something with personality that would still feel light and timeless. The tiny cherries bring just enough pattern to make the room interesting without overwhelming it. From a distance the walls feel almost neutral, but up close the pattern adds charm and warmth.

The wallpaper works beautifully as a soft backdrop for shelves and artwork. It adds a layer of detail without competing with everything else in the room.
Curtains That Make the Room Feel Finished
One of the standout details in the room is the scalloped green curtain panels. A solid fabric keeps the look clean, while the scalloped edge adds just the right amount of interest.

The green color helps ground the space and balances all of the soft pink tones. It keeps the room from feeling too sweet while still staying within a gentle palette.

The fullness of the panels and the soft folds make the room feel cozy and complete. Simple details like this can make a big difference in how finished a room feels.
A Comfortable and Layered Bed
The bed is intentionally simple and inviting. Neutral bedding keeps the space feeling calm and easy to maintain, while a blush quilt adds warmth and softness.

Layered pillows give the bed a comfortable look without feeling fussy. A long lumbar pillow adds a bit of pattern and helps break up the neutrals.

Keeping the bedding mostly neutral makes it easy to switch things out over time without needing to redo the whole room.
Matching Nightstands for Balance
Matching nightstands help the room feel organized and balanced. The light wood finish keeps everything feeling bright, and the woven drawer fronts bring in a little texture.

The surfaces are styled simply so they stay usable. A few framed pieces, a favorite stuffed animal, and a small vase of flowers are all it takes.

These little touches make the room feel warm without feeling cluttered.
Teen Girl's Room Artwork That Feels Personal
Artwork is one of the easiest ways to make a room feel personal. Soft colors and simple frames keep everything cohesive.
The collage style artwork brings in gentle color and ties together the pinks and blues throughout the room.

The ballet print adds a classic element and fits naturally with the overall softness of the space.
Practical Storage That Looks Nice
Teen rooms need storage that works in real life. A small organizer keeps everyday items contained while still looking neat.
The mini fridge is both fun and practical and gives the room a little personality.
Floating shelves provide a spot for favorite things without taking up floor space.
Open shelving makes it easy to change things around as interests evolve.
A Light and Pretty Space
Everything in this room works together in a simple way. The Livette's cherry wallpaper provides the perfect starting point, while the green curtains, soft bedding, and light wood furniture keep the room feeling fresh.
Nothing is overly complicated, and everything is meant to be used and enjoyed every day.
It is the kind of room that feels pulled together but still relaxed. Pretty, practical, and easy to live in.
Thank you Livette's Wallpaper for partnering with me on this post
